Where Gabby’s Been:
MEHAK INDIA’S AROMA
Mehaks India was doing restaurant week. We did not know but they did one terrific job. For $25 4 courses and a glass of wine. Very good too
The new place in Cherry Creek North is lovely to see with a welcoming soft ambience. we tasted many dishes as there were choices-all excellent-on the set menu. Start with Cauliflower florets in garlic-soy tomato glaze. These are a must when you visit. The chicken Korma and lamb rogan Josh were both terrific as were the naan breads. Dessert of rice pudding and gulab jamun are Indian favorites. We enjoyed the entire meal. And a lovely glass of wine to complement the food.
Palizo is just wonderful. They do everything right from food to wine and service. Salad and a mushroom appetizer are perfect. And green vongole, mussels and Bolognese. Chef Tyler is fantastic.
Palizo has been bringing in fans since it’s opening about a year ago. The house is charming and comfortable with lovely seating, a great bar area, and outstanding patio. The food and service are what makes a restaurant and it shows here. Italian in concept-appetizers, pastas and entrees are very special. Mushrooms make an amazing start as so mussels, and a simple salad and house made bread reach the peak here. Pastas shine with homemade noodles-try Bolognese and the awesome. Entrees are exciting as are desserts-wine and drinks and stall make it even better.

So excited about the Oscars I forgot pics of the entrees.
Little Ollie’s is a favorite and we hang at O Bar, the other side of the space which is more casual. A focal bar and high top seating, super staff of wow young ladies who are friend and very efficient and bus boys that really help. Enjoy Chinese, Asian, and American here. Egg rolls, pad Thai, mussels, ribs, and a great tuna or real burger!!! It’s got it all

Girls night out at Gaetano’s. Great food, Wine, service and a wow night for the ladies. So good.
Gaetano’s is 70 years young but Ron Robinson and staff have brought it to new heights with modern, delicious Italian food since he took over 4 years ago. Kevin Savoy serves the traditional dishes with lighter sauces and great variety. Mussels, burrata, calamari, Caesar salad, and bruschetta might be your first choice. And the minestrone is a signature. Entrees of pasta-eggplant parm, Bolognese, and more-entrees of chicken, veal, steak, and delicious fish entice. And don’t miss dessert!! Service, wines, drinks make it all more fun. Get a tour of the basement with remnants of the Stallone’s era. Gaetano’s is just fun with exceptional Italian fare.
Annette’s amazes every time I visit. And working my way through the menu. Got to keep going. Not done yet. And then again.
Again, Annette’s is a delightful, charming place in Stanley Marketplace. It is sophisticated and wonderful in a mall that is really more casual. Annette’s is casual in its own way-no linens and fancy décor but warm, charming, and a place you will just have to keep returning to. Guess the egg salad (eggs my favorite food) will keep me coming back but everything else is fabulous too
SEÑOR Bear brings a great chef from Puerto Rico and we loved his dishes. You can do this all month. And they will be on the radio with me this Sat from 1 to 2 on 630 KHOWSATCHEL’S
Ceviche De Camaron y pulpo
plantinos, avocado, lime
slow roasted goat, crispy potato, fried alliums
Mofungo de Apio
celery root, smoked pork cheek, pique
Flan De Queso
brown butter, almond crumble
And we added “pigs Tail”—I said no way, but it was delicious-crispy outside, tender inside, marinated in tamarind and so good.
Senior Bear does great Latin food. The space is rockin busy with the front area a huge focal bar with seating and more seating toward the back. Weather permitting there is a super patio. Service is excellent, and staff happily describes all the dishes. They freeze a special drink in a machine that resembles soft serve—ours was a pina colada and I could have ended there! With so many intriguing dishes, out of the ordinary, and exciting, Senor Bear is totally unique, and a place to find interesting dishes not available any place else and a great crowd! It’s a huge hit in Denver.
Then it is off 35 and Brighton-head to 31st-it is there
Zeppelin Station. Poke a hit! Bahnhofstrasse mi sandwich too need to try Indian next. And more poke
The building is sleek and very modern. Enter the space to a large bar-very stunning and enjoy your drink here! The style of the restaurants is lady out like a cafeteria setting. First was Comal which changes what
Zeppelin Station opens officially on Monday but get on over. The space is very modern, slick, white and clean looking lines. The building is sleek and very modern. Enter the space to a large bar-very stunning and enjoy your drink here! The style of the restaurants is laid out in a food court layout. First was Comal which changes what it serves-Mexican, etc different days. In no special order there was poke, Bahn mi, Vietnamese, Indian, smoked meats, a coffee shop, and gelato store. Get your choice-they will page you when done-great a seat at many different spots for dining and enjoy. The poke was a big hit-marinated tuna-rice or salad, and pick toppings at no extra charge. The banh mi was on large rolls with the protein, cilantro, pate, and more. Cannot speak to the Indian-my next stop but with more poke, and my friend wants to smoked meats. Sure this will be a big hit-and lots of fun. Ignore the traffic mess getting there and enjoy the scene.
Viale is so good-great food and staff-calamari, bruschetta, garlic knots, bolognese, mussels, and salmon too-loved it!
Viale is a perfect neighborhood bistro with great Italian food, fabulous service, convenient and has parking too. The place is great looking-a bar as you enter for drinks and dining, an open kitchen, and banquette seating and tables around the room. The food is excellent, affordable, lovely presentation and large portions too-it has it all. From mussels, calamari, great bruschetta, salads that are very special and delicious pastas-go for the Bolognese!!! There are entrees too-salmon, beef and more-I am hooked on their pastas—and yummy desserts end the feast. A great cocktail and wine list make it all perfect. Head on to the hood-next to Xfinity-you’ll find it and go back often.
