At long last we all get to indulge in the fabulous El Five! so anticipated, we will be wowed and have a fabulous dinner that includes tax, tp, and wine for $45. Seating is limited so reserve early.
Ultreia is doing a masterful job with fabulous décor, great food, and fun. This is the late – they have a gin bar that is outrageous but super wine and drinks for the rest of the guests too. They are doing restaurant Week with a huge selection of menu items and some add-ons. On our last visit we had not to miss crouquettes, and then te pan (grilled bread with tomato sauce and slice divine ham. The octopus special with pork belly is awesome, and the mussels rock!!! As much as we wanted more, we were too full. Service is wonderful here too.
12@Madison gets better every tome I visit. And it was great to start. Fab food and service. A real favorite 12 @ Madison is a small spot with big fans for good reason. The focal open kitchen turns out some fab food-and to sit at this bar and watch the chefs is a real treat. The baby lettuce salad is a signature from Jeff Osaka’s original 12 restaurant. It is still the best in town. Then we had the grandade cake, and the amazing ricotta ravioli with creamed chard, pork sausage and shaved grana Padano. Forgot to mention the Park House rolls that are swimming in butter-to doe for. Then we had braised pork with griddled cheese, wrapped in phillo like pastry and with a date-cherry walnut chutney and pomegranates. Wow!! Wishing we had room for more but had to call Uncle. A reason to go back!

New dishes for us tonight at Little Ollie’s. Tina burger and ribs. Both great. TVs on for us for Super Bowl. Obar/Little Ollie’s is so good-for some reason we passed on our favorite pad Thai and went for a divine tuna brger and super ribs!!! And of course our crispy eggie egg roll-had to do something as awlays. The place is great, servers divine, and food special. Think of t for Valentine’s Day too1!!!!
OMG! So fabulous. An evening of amazing food. Many of these dishes are on the menu for restaurant week too. Get there. Atelier is totally charming, small and quite pretty, the open kitchen is the focal point and Radek holds court as he turns out fabulous food. He calls it French Modern-and is it good. He is doing Restaurant Week-signed on last minute—we tasted the foie gras (yes), and amazing elk filets that will be on the menu!! His presentation as beautiful as a painting, the tastes equally wonderful. We had the lobster ravioli, the “TV” dinner or lobster, shrimp, risotto and more-not like we bought!!, the farmer’s salad, the mussels, even chicken—and opera cake too. Make your reservations how.
DUMB FRIENDS LEAGUE EVENT WITH EL FIVE
The Dumb Friends league hosts a dinner for about 50 possible donors to the building fund.
DFL is expanding in incredible ways-better places for the dogs and cats to reside, better hospital and veg services, better meeting rooms, better spaces to bring a pet-, behavioral staff-and more. Since opening the DFL has placed over one million animals. And in the best way for forever homes.
El Five stepped up to the plate and provided food and drink for the occasion. Ky Belk, the wine guy from El Five and Linger, with help from Amanda from the Family Jones Distillery (where the spirits are made-and are fabulous) served the drinks-along with wine and beer. Ky gave a demo making The Old Turk (sort of like an Old Fashioned). They were a huge success!!!
Then the head team of chefs-Jeremy Kittleson who heads all of the Edible Beats restaurants, and executive chef Corey Ferguson of El Five were there to bring extraordinary food without a kitchen. The result was amazing and so impressive.
Thanks to all for making this happen.

Some of the terrific dishes at the Gabby dinner at Que Bueno Suerte! A divine night of food and wine
The Gabby dinner at Suerte! Was a huge success. Again, the fans were wowed with great food, wine, beer—and margaritas-all in the price. I was asked how I pick the places-they are all so great-not sure but our restaurants never fail. The lentil soup was awesome-enough for dinner and so good. Then came a potato cake topped with shrimp and a guajillo pepper sauce. Entrée choices were beef with noodles, half chicken with mole—so good, or a vegetarian delicious skillet. The dessert rocked as well with a fruit empanada and the best dulce de leche ice cream I have ever had-so said every diner!!! Super service made it more special
Corner Beet for great lunch toasts. Avocado and Ban mei
This corner hippy like place has a definite charm and feel. One room with tables, a sofa, and high seating along the window wall make the seating after you order at the counter. Juices, coffee, tea and then a terrific choice of salads and sandwiches are offered. Everything is very organic like fresh and they serve you on china and offer real utensils. We settled on mashed avocado with tomato and balsamic and the bahn mei vegan style-both on delicious Grateful Bread. Lots more to choose from and very casual, it is a fun neighborhood haunt.
The Gabby dinner at Suerte
The dinner was amazing and all the guests were thrilled. The tastes were wonderful-portions maybe too big! Not a problem as to go boxes work. Everyone loved it-my favorites were the lentil soup and the ice cream for dessert! So-from beginning to end, a great time. Get on over for dinner or brunch.

a glance of the fabulous dinner at Shanahan’s–the best steak, service, and every other bite we had–chop salad, wedge, veal chop, steak, trout-and fries to die for–and the lemon cake is the best but the carrot cake even better- what a special divine spot this is.
Shanahan’s continues to be the top steak and seafood place in Denver. The ambience is awesome-service beyond perfect and this is the most special place. The bar amazes, and of course the dining room too. It is just a perfect place-appetizers I did not mention -the best-crab cakes oysters, mussels, octopus, shrimp and on an on—every salad is awesome-my fav is the chop but go for any. Steaks are prime-veal chop wow!! And the seafood a real treat. Everything is just the best-including rich, decadent, divine desserts—this is totally awesome-and see the superbowl trophy and some of the rings too!!
