Dinner for Two by Tiffany Tate :
With Valentine’s day just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to discuss one of my husband’s and my favorite romantic restaurants, The Melting Pot. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant with locations all over the country (and a few in other countries as well) and four in Colorado. While I have traveled all over Colorado, I have only been to the Melting Pot in Littleton. The others are located in Colorado Springs, Louisvill, and Fort Collins.
The restaurant offers a variety of entrees, wonderful desserts, and the salads are great too! The use Certified Angus Beef, antibiotic and hormone free chicken, and all natural pork. They will also prepare any of their entrees gluten free and have a vegetarian option as well.
The ultimate eating experience at the Melting Pot is the Four Course Option. You get to choose your cheese fondue, meat or vegetarian, salad, and your dessert fondue. So be sure to wear something that has stretch to it! The prices range anywhere from $41.95-51.95 per person depending on your selection. They provide so many selections that it is not a fast process so give yourself a couple of hours.
What we enjoy most is the dimly lit ambiance and the privacy in the booths. Each booth provides privacy drapes which allow you to close yourself off from the rest of the guests. If you are just dining for two, this gives you an intimate feeling in a public setting while you are cooking your food. I know the whole idea of going out to eat is so you don’t have to cook, but the process of preparing your food is so quick it doesn’t even matter. I love that you can share with each other and even feed each other if you are into that sort of thing!
So close those drapes in your booth, enjoy conversation, and eat a wonderful meal! The connection to your partner alone might make you feel closer than ever that you can forget about the outside world! Even though the Melting Pot isn’t as cheap as eating at your local fast food restaurant, nothing worth having comes cheap in my opinion. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, I highly recommend that you do. I doubt you will be disappointed.
