Satchel’s on 6th

Satche's on 6thSatchel’s on 6th takes a prominent spot in this very popular area and offers great food, wine, and fun. The décor is as contemporary as the food, with a large square horseshoe bar occupying the center of the room. Blonde wood floors complement the natural wood tables, and slate gray walls. Artesian pendant lighting lines the bar and the pop of bright red table chairs creates a warm space. It’s casual, fun, and welcoming. The food shines with a contemporary menu with many options. Start with the small plates that entice all. Handmade tortellini with goat cheese, tempura squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta, walnuts and more, and heirloom burrata start the list. Or awesome soft-shell crab, a farm house salad, and a terrific charcuterie will delight all. Entrees range from poached striped bass, steak “frites”, and a vegetarian tasting to chicken roulade and a great burger. Whatever you choose you must have a side of duck fat fried with parmesan. Other sides are delicious with cheese course, roasted beets an crispy fingerlings. Decadent desserts end the meal. The wine and drink list complement the food. Sunday night brings a special dinner, changing each week, and Monday night wine by the bottle is half price. Owner Andrew Casalini combines great food, fun, wine, and dining at Satchel’s on 6th.
