Jack’s Uptown Grille brings casual dining with top quality food and lots of fun to the hood.
Jack’s Uptown Grille. On the corner of 17th and Franklin, two patios make for a great start as a favorite place to enjoy dining. Step inside and the focal bar is turquoise tiles with great lighting, a wine case above and seating for all. Tables and banquettes are placed around the area for dining. Big windows, wood, and brick add to the décor.
The food is American, approachable, and choices for any taste. Start with ruffle kettle chips and dip, chips and dip trio with guacamole, tomato salsa and more, red pepper and garlic hummus, and spinach artichoke dip. The salads offer kale and quinoa, southwestern chicken, a great chopped. And most popular caprese avocado, a must. The spicy Caesar boasted shredded brussels sprouts, or go for the power greens balance bowl.
The burger rocks with many forms, a fried chicken, seared Portobello, and pulled pork sandwich may be your preference but don’t miss the prime rib sandwich or turkey burger. Mains bring real English fish and chips from English born chef/partner Lindsay Donnelly, grilled salmon, mac and cheese, a steak or baby back ribs thanks to owner Steve Lockton, who grew up in K.C. Lots of good desserts but the homemade brownie is addictive. The cocktail, wine and beer list complement the food and is nicely priced as are all the menu items.
Jack’s is a great choice for casual and delicious dining in Uptown.
